Friendology #2 - Honesty, Apologies & Forgiveness
Today Pastor Mark Geer concludes a two part message on building healthy relationships in your home, family, neighborhood and society at large. We are living in crazy and somewhat dangerous times when it comes to social interaction. People are misunderstood. Others are mean-spirited and dangerous with their words, actions and intentions. So how can we build better and more healthy relationships around us?
The Bible is our guide. It speaks of Christ’s love and the difference He can make in your life and relationships. It also speaks of a different way of living – not like the world, but like Christ Himself. Such a choice removes many harmful and dangerous sinfully motivated behaviors and allows us to conduct ourselves in a more spiritual and healthy manner towards others. At the center of which is empathy, compassion, sensitivity, honesty, apologies and forgiveness. Today’s message focuses on the second three and the power of the phrases, “I’m Sorry!” and “I Forgive You!”
May your home and life be healthier and brighter because of the love of Christ shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
