Evangelist Duff Rowden

Our guest speaker today is Evangelist Duff Rowden. He serves as a worship leader, conference speaker, and vocal instructor, as well as a wonderful instrumentalist and song writer. He wrote the chorus "Let Us Draw Near" some years ago and the song was sung in churches across the nation as a worship song bringing people into the presence of the Lord. Duff has added new verses and a bridge to this song and it continues to be a song of contemporary relevance. It is included in this video as Duff leads our congregation in worship before He speaks.

Duff is currently writing a book and making an audio recording of it regarding his life story. It is one of pain and heartache, tragedy and sorrow, but also a story out of which comes freedom and healing from the trauma of the past. In today's message Duff takes us back to the place of his youth and the experiences he went through and the hope he found in the power of Christ's resurrection, healing and restoration. Speaking from an obscure story in the Old Testament, Duff helps us to see some incredible application from the prophet Elisha's interaction with a young man who lost his ax head in the water and Elisha threw in a branch and made it float!
