#3 The Journey to the Manger
Join us as we take a journey this holiday season with the Biblical characters of the Christmas Story.
Pastor Mark Geer leads us on this glorious adventure from “The Journey of Faith” that Joseph and Mary took, and “The Journey to Bethlehem” they adventured on, as well as “The Journey to the Manger” undertaken by the shepherds and also Jesus Christ from glory, followed by the wise men from the East.
The Christmas Story is a story of faith and trust, obedience, and humility. Come let God speak to you as you draw close to Him in worship and the Word this Christmas season.
In today’s message “The Journey to the Manger” we see the arrival of the Son of God, born to the virgin Mary and her husband Joseph. The journey was not what anyone may have expected. The preparations, anticipation, and build up to the Arrival of the Savior was incredible, but it culminated in a humble, quiet, silent night of worship and praise.
Shepherds came to observe after hearing the angelic proclamation that a Savior had been born. Wise men came following the Christ-Star as it led them first to Jerusalem and then, not to the manger in Bethlehem, but most likely to a humble home in Nazareth – where they found the Child Jesus with Mary his mother.
What we learn on the journey to the manger is that the nativity is a place of Biblical destiny! A place of the fulfillment of God’s prophecies and promises, as well as a place of revelation and transformation. It can be for you as well if you will believe in Jesus and surrender your heart to Him in confession and worship. If you make that decision today, please reach out to us at The Journey so we can walk with you through this newfound relationship with Jesus Christ.
