An Introduction to the Concept of Sacrifice

This Sunday we kicked off our summer message series entitled, “A Theology of Sacrifice.” Have you ever read the Old Testament and been overwhelmed by all the animal sacrifices, the types of offerings mentioned, and the specific requirements for what animals to bring and ALL THE BLOOD!? It isn’t without purpose.

In this series we hope to introduce the concept of sacrifice that is so prevalent in the Old and New Testament narratives, and bring some meaning to these sacrifices and the implications they have for our lives.

In this Sunday’s Message: “An Introduction to the Concept of Sacrifice - The Biblical Narrative of the Old Testament” Pastor Mark leads us through significant passages of the Old Testament to show the prevalence of sacrifice throughout the narrative, and also to help us connect with key words that are related to sacrifice. This journey unveils the heart of God as He foreshadows through His Word the revelation of a Supreme Sacrifice that was yet to be offered, whom we know to be the person of Jesus Christ, God’s Son.
