Message #21 – The Creation of All Things (Part 3) – “The Biblical Account of Creation - Days #5-7”

Mar 7, 2021    Pastor Mark Geer    Series: Systematic Theology for Daily Living / Text: Genesis 1-2; Exodus 20:11; Psalm 104; Isaiah 40:25-26; 45:12, 18; Acts 17:24

Today's message continues our exploration of The Creation of All Things as we continue our study of The Biblical Account of Creation. In this message we will be examining the last three days of creation as recorded by Moses in Genesis 1-2. These are incredible days of creativity, originality and ingenuity as God creates great sea creatures and living things within the waters of the seas, as well as bringing forth living things from the earth, with His crowning achievement being the creation of mankind after His own image.

As we have said before, the study of creation is an incredible topic that brings up a lot of questions (both ancient ones and fresh ones), and it challenges us all to give serious consideration to the meaning of life, our purpose here on this planet, and most importantly God's purpose for bringing all things, visible and invisible, into existence.

In this series we are tackling a number exciting matters dealing with the following:
1) What is the Biblical (Mosaic) account of creation? (Genesis 1-2)
2) How did God created all things? (ex nihilo - out of nothing)
3) How do Scripture and Science relate to one another? (or do they)?
4) Is evolution feasible or not? And what should a Christian's response to it be?
5) Did God create the universe in 6 literal 24-hour days or over a long period of time (including millions of years)?
6) And just how old is the earth? And the human race? (Can we know?)

Our desire for this broader study of Systematic Theology is to take a practical look at the study of God and various elements of biblical and spiritual truth which are designed to help us all understand God and draw us nearer to Him as our Creator and to Jesus Christ as our Savior.
