Message #69 – SOTERIOLOGY - God's Great Plan of Salvation (Part 25)

Description: Today’s message continues a 4-part message on what is known as the Doctrine of Perseverance. It is often referred to as the doctrine of “Once Saved, Always Saved” or “Eternal Security”. However, this is a misleading understanding of this precious Biblical doctrine. In today’s message we evaluate two varying perspectives on this doctrine: The first is Calvinism and the second is Arminianism. We also explore the question of whether or not a person who has been saved can truly “backslide” or “fall away” from salvation which is known as Apostasy.

Soteriology: From eternity past, we know that God had a wonderful plan to rescue and save humanity from the sin He knew we would enslave ourselves in. This study of Soteriology examines the price God was willing to pay for our atonement through sending Jesus Christ His Son to die on the cross for our sins and rise again victoriously.

Systematic Theology: Our desire for this broader study of Systematic Theology for Daily Living is to take a practical look at the study of God and various elements of biblical and spiritual truth which are designed to help us all understand God and draw us nearer to Him as our Creator and to Jesus Christ as our Savior.
