Today we continue our Systematic Theology study of Soteriology – God’s great plan of salvation. Today we are continuing to look at the saving work of Christ in Atonement as He came to represent us to God and to pay for our sins through His death upon the cross.

In today’s message we explore the nature of the atonement – answering the question, “What exactly did Jesus do for us in the atonement that brought satisfaction to God and fulfilled the required payment of appeasing His wrath?”

We know that God, from eternity past, had a wonderful plan to rescue and save humanity from the sin He knew we would enslave ourselves in. This study Soteriology examines the price God was willing to pay for our atonement through sending Jesus Christ His Son to die on the cross for our sins and rise again victoriously.

Our desire for this broader study of Systematic Theology for Daily Living is to take a practical look at the study of God and various elements of biblical and spiritual truth which are designed to help us all understand God and draw us nearer to Him as our Creator and to Jesus Christ as our Savior.
