Missions Focus 2026

Feb 1, 2026    Pastor Mark Geer

At the 2025 General Council of the Assemblies of God, the AG World Missions Department announced a bold vision to reach the world's unreached and unengaged people groups who have zero or limited gospel access. By 2033, the Fellowship has committed to growing from 2,569 to 4,000 missionaries and is dedicated to advancing gospel access to unengaged people groups. It’s not just about numbers; it's about answering God's call to be the generation to make a difference.

In today’s message, Pastor Mark Geer shares about the importance of understanding the unreached. Who are they? Where are they? Why are they lost? How can we reach them?

He also shares the personal story of his 26 year old friend John Chau, who gave his life on the North Sentinel Island in the Bay of Bengal being shot through with arrows. His mission was to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to these unengaged peoples who have never known the love of God. It’s a powerful story and a poignant reminder on the importance of taking the Great Commission of Jesus Christ seriously and seeing to understand the unengaged with grace, love and gospel truth.
