Message #75 – PNEUMATOLOGY - The Person & Work of the Holy Spirit (Part 4)
Today we continue our Systematic Theology Series and the study of Pneumatology ~ the study of the Holy Spirit of God.
Pastor Mark Geer begins an exploration of the Work of the Holy Spirit with a focus on the Holy Spirit’s activity in the Old Testament – before the Day of Pentecost, which was so joyfully celebrated in the New Testament when the Holy Spirit was poured out on the 120 disciples.
In today’s message we follow Myer Pearlman’s outline as we examine how the Holy Spirit was revealed in the Old Testament in the following three ways:
1) As the creative or cosmic Spirit through whose power the universe and all living creatures were created.
2) As the dynamic or power-giving Spirit.
3) As the regenerative Spirit by which human nature is changed.
Our desire for this broader study of Systematic Theology for Daily Living is to take a practical look at the study of God and various elements of biblical and spiritual truth which are designed to help us all understand God and draw us nearer to Him as our Creator and to Jesus Christ as our Savior.
