Message #48 – SOTERIOLOGY - God's Great Plan of Salvation (Part 4)

Apr 3, 2022    Pastor Mark Geer    Series: Systematic Theology for Daily Living / Text: Genesis 2:7; Ecclesiastes 12:6-7; Matthew 10:28; 2 Cor. 5:1-8; 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24; Hebrews 4:12

Today we continue our Systematic Theology study of Soteriology – God’s great plan of salvation and also the saving work of Christ in Atonement as He came to represent us to God and to pay for our sins through His death upon the cross.

In today’s message we explore the significance of the death of Christ as revealed in Scripture and also various theories of atonement, identifying which ones are blatant misinterpretations of Christ’s death and which ones carry some element of truth in them. We also identify which theory of atonement we as a church and the Assemblies of God hold to as the accurate Biblical representation of Christ’s atoning work.

Our desire for this broader study of Systematic Theology for Daily Living is to take a practical look at the study of God and various elements of biblical and spiritual truth which are designed to help us all understand God and draw us nearer to Him as our Creator and to Jesus Christ as our Savior.
