THE FEASTS OF GOD - #2 "The Feast of Passover"

Aug 9, 2026    Pastor Mark Geer

Our series on The Feasts of God continues today with an in depth look at the holy convocations God called Israel to observe as a nation in Leviticus 23.  These are prophetic feasts foreshadowing the coming of Jesus Christ, the Messiah, Deliverer, and Savior of mankind.

In today’s message Pastor Mark Geer explores the Feast of Passover with its historical background and context found in the Exodus of the children of Israel out of Egypt in Exodus 12. He then points out the observance of the Passover throughout the Old Testament and New Testament by the people of God and notably Jesus Himself. The details of the Passover are specific and important as we see Jesus at the Last Supper indicating His fulfillment of the Feast of Passover by giving His body and His blood as the sacrificial Lamb of God.

Communion is our Christian celebration of the Feast of Passover as we partake of Christ and identify with Him in His sacrifice for our sins on the cross of Calvary. As we surrender our lives to Him as our Savior, as we celebrate His love for us and the freedom He purchased for us, there is sweet communion between the souls of the redeemed and the Lord, our precious Redeemer!
