#22 The Message of the Church

Our series in the Book of Acts continues with today’s message on The Message of the Church and how Paul and Barnabas on their first missionary journey focused on preaching the message of salvation through Jesus Christ in the synagogues of the Jews.

We observe a few important details today that are helpful to us in the first century:

1) Stay focused on the mission and the message Jesus gave us. There are plenty of distractions and exits along the spiritual highway, but the task of spreading the Good News of the Gospel everywhere must remain our focus.

2) We must know the essence of the message handed down to us over the centuries which is the story of the nation of Israel, God’s raising up of the seed of David to bring forth the Messiah – Jesus Christ. We must know the Gospel Message of Salvation – that Jesus died, was buried, and rose again with verifying evidence!
