#18 The Vision of Peter & The Conversion of Cornelius' Household
Our series in the Book of Acts continues with today’s message on the vision of Peter and the conversion of Corenelius’ household.
The Biblical account in today’s message is a most remarkable story of how God broke down the division between Jew and Gentile that has been embedded in so many people’s minds in that First Century. It was a world of stereotypes, prejudice, and discriminatory treatment. Yet God had a better vision for mankind and through two men (Peter and Cornelius), two divine encounters (a vision and an angelic visitor), God broke the mindset of division and poured out His Spirit upon Jew and Gentile alike!
In our world today we face similar challenges of division, judgmentalism, and preferential treatment. People who may not look like us, believe like us, speak the same language, or who share a different culture are often ostracized, ignored, or treated as inferior. Bitterness and hatred can often creep into our hearts and we find ourselves at war with those Jesus came to save. What can we do? Today’s message unlocks the key to freedom, a godly perspective, and the opportunity to experience a powerful revival in God’s Spirit!
We hope you will be blessed by this message and if you would like further direction on following Jesus, please take a moment to reach out to us either by filling out a connection card with your information or emailing us directly or calling the church for more assistance. We would love to visit with you!
